Prompt 2
During my time at Poway Trail Company I have not experienced many setbacks that have truly affected me until I met Sam. Sam is a horse that was left on the property by his original owner. My boss, Nicole, has decided to give him to me as a project horse while I am here. He has absolutely no manners and is extremely rude. Currently I am trying to train using Parelli training but in my personal opinion I am spectacularly failing. He does not care about anything and will not do something he doesn’t want to do. Next week I will be going outside with Nicole to work with him and hopefully overcome his attitude problem.
Prompt 3
My high school education has in no way prepared me for working on a horse ranch. Even the administrative work I’ve been doing I learned from a previous office job I had. I am out in the sun all day cleaning stalls, working with horses, learning a new training style and doing whatever else I am asked to do around the office and ranch. My externship has been like a project at HTHI because I am always on a tight schedule. There is no time for messing around because I am working on my own project, a project for my boss, and the summer camps. Time management was something I had to learn fast because unfortunately some teachers like to plan everything out and not leave that up to the students.
