My internship is with Nicole Stone at her company Poway Equestrian Center, this is not the only name it goes by though, she has many companies under her belt, some of which are just starting out. In the year I have known her she and her companies have grown into amazing things and she has even successfully opened her own non-profit which is aimed to help disadvantaged children become familiar with horses and to help horses in need. If you would like to donate please go to ptcgive.com . While here on internship I am learning what it is like for a successful business women in 2018. She has me helping quite a bit with the upcoming summer camps which I was a part of last year but will unfortunately miss out on the bulk of this summer because of internship ends. Seeing her aspirations, her dream board, her hard work, her caring; has really helped to open my eyes and see a world of possibilities in which people are more educated in equines and able to truly see how amazing horses are.
While on internship I was really hoping to gain more ranch experience as well as learn what it takes to be a small business owner (she owns three and a non-profit). Only having been here three days I think it is too early to begin pointing out new things I have learned but I am gaining a ton of experience in office work and ranch work. I am very excited for all the new things I am going to learn this coming month.
